Note* This post is based on a real life conversation

This was a nice conversation, speaking to a logical, consistent, determined and genuine individual. This conversation showed me the importance of not allowing time to restrict you, just a vision, plan & follow-through. So let’s get straight into it!

Which Jollof is better, Nigerian or Ghanian?

Nigerian Jollof for sure! (No comment)

Tell me some more about your change in industry?

Although studied engineering at university. I didn’t see it possible to do long term which made me reevaluate what do going forward leading me to finance, i was able to see the practical side to accounting and finance and have a personal connect to what I was learning. Down the line applying it to my professional and personal life. So lock down allowed me time to think about this more deeply and pursue it.

How has it been now switching fields?

It really has worked out for better good, because of the opportunities that can see is opening to me now that AAT qualified and also becoming a charted accountant. I currently work looking after the finances of 3 school accounts. There are reporting deadlines and technical

Jargon’s used on a day to day but now that accustomed to it has become routine and simple .

What do you like to do in your downtime?

I Like to learn about different areas, reading books, learning the saxophone, doing different courses to develop my skill sets, learning of language & content creation. Spending time out with friends, family and Girlfriend is also very important to me.

What does self realisation mean to you?

Self-realisation, through a series of trial and error, is about becoming more in tune with one's self & forming core values that build character, understanding likes and dislikes and acting accordingly - essentially having curiosity about yourself and then aligning with what resonates"

I hope you enjoy this inspirational conversation, as much as I did
