Had the opportunity to speak to someone that was the youngest of 8 but had the ambition & courage of an ox!

Tell us about your life’s journey so far?

Let’s start from year 9. Up until this time i was quite naughty in school so subsequently parents gave the ultimatum of changing or would get sent back to Uganda. So was important to find something that passionate about & that was politics as felt like it’s important to understand about decisions that countries are making, & how it affects life, as if you don't know about will be ruled by. Also determination to change scoiety

Preparing self in this field, the subjects studied was Politics, Sociology and Geography at A-levels. Which then lead to a study of Politics & International relations at university & graduating with a 2:1. Also serving as ACS Vice president was an experience that developed me alot.

What would you tell your younger self, now knowing what you do?

Speak to people, have a therapist & get wisdom on life as a whole.

What do you get up to in spare time?

- I have the opportunity to play football on the weekends

- Run Amapiano based events called Piano Ville

- Go for regular walks

Would you say faith has helped you live a more fulfilling life?

- It’s interesting you ask as I grew up with a Muslim Dad & Christian Mum so had to find way in life. Came to a place in life were wasn’t working for some time and then reflected on what future would hold. Through this started to learn more about Christ Jesus and how through him can be a better person in the community and beyond. It’s been a good and steady journey, with the next step being getting baptised.

What does self realisation mean to you?

Being able to look back at your journey, everything that been through & how much have grown along the way. My end goal is to make it to the UN!
