*Note this Blog post is based on a Real Life Conversation

This conversation, was one that showed me the importance of displaying humility even within excellency. I had the opportunity to speak to a bright youth who was looking to achieve greatness at Cambridge university.

What has your journey to such a prestigious Cambridge University been like?

Studying at A-levels was the test that certainly had to overcome and would prove to be a test of time, what found joy in was in fact pushing on with sociology amongst all core subjects. Found a lot of interest in Human interaction & then also being able to see how something as small as a teenager being placed at the back and in sets not reflective of potential could affect future prospects and integration into society.

What are some of the obstacles you faced on journey?

The biggest obstacle faced is Lust. Felt like it was causing to hurt self and others emotionally and lose focus on the more important things in life. The reason why it was done was to be accepted amongst peers but now finding Christ and understanding the perverse effects of lust has decided to stay away from it. Since making this choice, have been made to feel so much better & things have been more peaceful❤️

What has life taught you?

To focus on developing the inner self rather than external gratification. Through seeing people with nice things thought that the external was the most important thing but now realised that life is about perspective, with Character being the most the most important thing that money cant buy.

What does self realisation mean to you?

Self realisation for me was taking a step back from my lens and taking on Gods lens on myself, so can be a bright light for others alike.

Well said good sir, as the Bible says in Is 55:8-9:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
