*Note this Blog post is based on a Real Life Conversation

Through life you must learn

Had the opportunity to speak to a now Service Delivery Manager & Pastor, whom's life journey has been very thought out, progressive & bold. I hope you enjoy reading just as much as I enjoyed the conversation.

Talk to me more about the Journey so far?

The journey has been one of trial, error & much learning. Started off as a kitchen porter then moved onto be a Chef before then transitioning into Sales whereby I learnt how to become more business saavy. Later down the line, started working in Healthcare as a receptionist. This gave me a lot of time to reflect upon how the healthcare system works at it 's core. What was able to realise is that healthcare is also a business that has to generate money to keep going that more people can be looked after, so the question to ask is how can I help the hospital to help others. This mindset has helped as become a Service Manager.

What is something that you have learnt through your life journey so far?

Put your pride to the side & ask questions when you dont know. Asking questions can save you a lot of time, effort and certainly embarrassment in the future especially working in the NHS where there are many acronyms for that which could be a simple term.

How is it being a Pastor and carrying out your cooperate duties?

Being in the midst of different people and facing different situations, it reminds of :

James 1:2-4

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Helping to see that through trials and testing, the end of it produces maturity and endurance becoming a more rounded person. Well said sir!

What does self realisation mean to you?

As a Christian being able to analyse self before others. What helped with this reflective activity, was an 360 questionnaire that allows people to answer on what think about you as a person unanimously so can look at self constructively through lense of others than own lense. As a representation of Christ you have to be devoted to continuous growth and improvement, shining Gods light brighter and brighter.
